Jacquerie

1358 CE

A violent peasant revolt in northern France during the Hundred Years' War. Enraged by crushing taxation and noble incompetence, peasants (called 'Jacques') massacred nobles and burned castles before being brutally suppressed by Charles the Bad of Navarre.
