Wahhabi Wars / First Saudi State

1744 CE – 1818 CE · 74 years

The alliance between Muhammad ibn Saud and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab created the First Saudi State, which conquered most of Arabia including the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The Ottomans eventually sent Egyptian forces under Ibrahim Pasha to crush the Saudi state in 1818.
