Persian Conquest of Egypt

Cambyses II conquered Egypt at the Battle of Pelusium, ending the 26th Dynasty and making Egypt a Persian satrapy. According to Herodotus, the Persians used cats as shields, knowing Egyptians would not risk harming them.
