Dirty War

1976 CE – 1983 CE · 7 years

Argentina's military dictatorship waged state terrorism against suspected dissidents. Up to 30,000 people were 'disappeared' — kidnapped, tortured, and killed. The regime collapsed after defeat in the Falklands War and the return to democracy in 1983.
