Cambodian–Vietnamese War
1977 CE – 1991 CE · 14 years
Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1978, overthrowing the Khmer Rouge regime that had killed 1.5–2 million Cambodians in a genocide. The subsequent decade-long occupation fought a guerrilla war against Khmer Rouge remnants until a UN-brokered peace in 1991.
