Yellow Turban Rebellion

184 CE – 205 CE · 21 years

A massive peasant uprising led by the Taoist Zhang Jue against the corrupt Han Dynasty. Though suppressed, it fatally weakened imperial authority and set the stage for the Three Kingdoms era.
