Sino-Indian War
1962 CE
China launched a surprise attack across the disputed Himalayan border, rapidly overwhelming Indian forces. China declared a unilateral ceasefire after a month, retaining Aksai Chin. The war shattered Nehru's non-aligned foreign policy and continues to shape Sino-Indian relations.
