Latvian War of Independence

1918 CE – 1920 CE · 2 years

Multi-party conflict where Latvia fought simultaneously against Soviet Russia, the Baltic German Landeswehr, and the German-backed West Russian Volunteer Army to secure independence. Latvia won recognition as a sovereign state at the Treaty of Riga.
