Haitian Gang War

2020 CE – 2026 CE · 6 years

After the assassination of President Moïse in 2021, armed gangs seized control of 90% of Port-au-Prince. Over 5,600 were killed in 2024 alone. The UN authorized a gang suppression force in late 2025 as the crisis deepened.
