Bangladeshi War of Independence

1971 CE

East Pakistan declared independence after the Pakistani military launched Operation Searchlight — a genocidal campaign that killed an estimated 300,000 to 3 million people. India's intervention decisively defeated Pakistan in 13 days, creating Bangladesh as the world's newest nation.
